Our Mission

The mission of the AUSD’s Nutrition Network Program is to increase the consumption of fruits and vegetables and the physical activity of students and their families. Nutrition educators provide instruction in classrooms throughout the district. Our students learn the importance of healthy eating and healthy living. The AUSD Nutrition Network program seeks to increase public awareness of the importance of eating a diet rich in fruits and vegetables every day for better health through nutrition education and garden based nutrition and physical education. Gardens are located at various sites and the community is invited to participate.
